Kogi State Governor Captain Idris Wada who was involved in a ghastly motor accident Thursday is now receiving treatment at a private hospital in Abuja.
Local online news agency Daily Times have report that the Governor is on admission At Cedar Crest Hospital where he is being treated by a team of medical experts.
The governor is said to have suffered multiple fracture that is expected to keep him out of office for some weeks.
According to the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media Jacob Eddie, Wada vehemently refused to be taken abroad for treatment because of his confidence on Nigeria’s health sector.
“Yes, the Governor is in Abuja receiving treatment at a private hospital. He has directed that he should be treated in Nigeria and not taken abroad because of his confidence in the nation’s health sector.
“This is a positive deviation from what others are doing by flying abroad for medical treatment. He is leading by example,” Eddie said.
