Nigeria - Police Intercept Bomb-laden Car In Kano

A Golf 3 car laden with Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) has been intercepted by the Kano State Police Command at Inuwa Village in Ungoggo Local Government Area of the state.
Addressing a news conference on Wednesday, the State Police Commissioner, Musa Daura said the occupants of the vehicle who are now at large, were badly injured during a gun duel with the police.
According to the commissioner, the vehicle was arrested yesterday at about 9:30am following a tip-off from some members of the public and various IEDs were recovered from the vehicle.
The intention of the suspects, according to Mr. Daura, was to cause havoc and destabilise the ancient Kano.
He further said that the area where the vehicle was intercepted had been sealed off, urging members of the public to report any suspicious movement around the area.
