Franck Ribéry Vows To Never Speak To Teammate Again After He Poured Beer On Him

Muslim soccer star Franck Ribéry is pissed. And despite his team, Bayern Munich, winning a match against Augsburg 3-0, he has vowed to never speak to a certain teammate ever again.
Upon the final and 90th minute of the game, Bayern players went absolutely wild, wielding giant cups of beer in celebration of the victory. The goal? To drench teammates in the ice cold lager. The only problem? Ribéry does not drink due to his Islamic beliefs.
So what does star teammate Jerome Boateng do? He chases him down and pours him up something real nice.
All of the teammates follow suit and before you know it, this poor guy is faced down on the pitch, covered in brew. Fun for some, but definitely not for him.
After the incident, Franck was beyond livid. In fact, as aforementioned, he promised to never associate himself with Boateng again. Not the smartest move considering they’re on the same team.
The worst part of this situation is that he warned his teammates not to do this exact thing beforehand. Franck had this to say about the entire incident, which kind of overshadowed the win for him:
“I won’t talk to Boateng again, he knows that I’m Muslim. He knows that I’m Muslim. I’m pissed off.”
There seems to be a lot of cultural issues in soccer as of late and even though this may have not been as serious as what happened to Mario Baoltelli earlier, players and fans should be more understanding of other people’s backgrounds.
