The Latest Trend In Plastic Surgery, First Lady Michelle Obama Exposed

If someone were to ask you what Michelle Obama and Jennifer Aniston’s greatest physical feature was, what would you say? Their hair? Their eyes? I’m sure everyone has a different opinion, but one thing is certainly for sure: the masses love their arms.
These two women have incredible toned arms, which are in no doubt a result of the thousands of dollars they’ve paid to their personal trainers.

Everyone has their own personal ‘fitsperation’ but in order to call someone your ‘fitsperation’ aren’t you supposed to, like, actually be inspired to work towards looking like them?

Aren’t you supposed to be inspired to look as fit as that person? Doesn’t that mean that you have to actually work towards that goal?

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) has just released its annual report yesterday, and according to the group, women would rather pay to look like their fitsperation, rather than work towards it.

Elective upper arm surgery is now one of the fastest growing plastic surgery trends. The procedure, which is called brachioplasty, address the phenomenon of so-called ‘bingo wings’—or that loose, floppy skin that jiggles on your upper arms. Over 15,000 women got an upper arm procedure in 2012, which is an increase of 4,378% since 2000. Woah.

The ASPS presented some poll data along with those statistics that gives us a hint as to why the procedure, which leaves a visible scar from your elbow to your armpit, has become so popular. “Celebrities from the White House to the red carpet may be having an influence,” the ASPS reports. Of course.

According to the poll, there are five celebrities whose arms women most admire:

Michelle Obama (31%)

Jennifer Aniston (29%)

Jessica Biel (16%)

Kelly Ripa (13%)

Demi Moore (11%)

Should we perhaps pay attention to the fact that four out of five of these celebrities, with the exception of 31-year-old Jessica Biel, are over the age of 40? Is this something we have to look forward to when we get older? More plastic surgery, and less hard work?

I sure hope not.
