Members of the JTF in Guri Local government area of Jigawa state in the North West Nigeria have killed three suspected terrorists during a gun duel.
In a press release signed by the JTF spokesperson Captain Ikedichi Iweha, he says four AK47 rifles, five magazines, 164 rounds of 7.6mm special Ammunition for AK47 rifles were recovered at the hideout.
“This followed extensive intelligence build-up of the combined team of the JTF and it has yielded a positive result that led to the death of the three insurgents.”
Meanwhile, the JTF has warned that the military action against terrorists in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa state has forced them to seek refuge in other parts of the country especially in areas with little security presence.
“While counting on the support of the members of the public under which we operate, we continue to solicit for their cooperation as we will continue to ensure peace and stability are sustained in the region, the statement concluded.
