Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t an assh*le, ladies and gentleman. The Portuguese soccer star proved it in Miami last night at Sun Life Stadium during a special exhibition match pinning Real Madrid against Chelsea.
It was a peculiar evening, not only because of the marquee match up going down in the states, but also due to a certain incident that occurred during the 66th minute of the match.
While we have seen crazed fans storm the pitch before, we have never seen anything like this. Proving once and for all that everybody in Florida is out of their minds, a 20-something white man decided to interrupt the match to give Ronaldo a tender, very awkward and extended hug.
But what was most surprising of this entire ordeal was that Cristiano embraced it. He hugged him right back, as the fan brought his mouth closer and closer to Ronaldo’s face.
The loving fan was eventually escorted away and presumably thrown into the stadium jail.
While we all know Ronaldo is European, I’m sure that this was a little unexpected and uncomfortable for him.
He did the noble thing and didn’t knock this dude out on the spot. Instead, he waited for security to get him. He’s not a bad guy after all!
