'Slane Girl' Teenager 'Pictured Performing S4x Act' At Eminem Concert 'Distraught' After Images Go Viral

The 17-year-old girl is at the centre of a police probe in Ireland following the incident, which is understood to have happened in broad daylight in front of revellers at Slane Castle on Saturday.
A teenage girl allegedly pictured performing a sex act on a man in public at an Eminem concert is said to be "distraught" after the images went viral online.

The 17-year-old girl is at the centre of a police probe in Ireland following the incident, which is understood to have happened in broad daylight in front of revellers at Slane Castle on Saturday.

Images of the schoolgirl, dressed in denim shorts and a polka dot t-shirt, performing the intimate act on a man have been shared by hundreds of users on social media.

The shocking incident was trending globally at one point as users dubbed the couple involved 'slanegirl' and 'slaneboy'.

Gardaí are now investigating the matter and have spoken to the girl, believed to be a secondary school pupil from the west of Ireland, and her family.

The teenager is understood to have been left extremely distressed and embarrassed and, according to some reports, is believed to have been sedated in hospital.

A source reportedly told the Irish Sun: "This is a very sensitive matter and the girl's family are distraught.

"This is so out of character for her. She's currently very emotional and confused about the whole thing."

A spokesman said: "Gardaí have spoken with the female involved and it would be inappropriate for us to comment further at this time.

"We would ask the media to respect the privacy of the people involved and their families."

It was reported that the person originally responsible for posting the graphic pictures online was a man from the Belfast area.

The photographs appeared online on Sunday and soon went viral on social media.

Twitter, Facebook and Instagram have now taken steps to block the photographs and suspend users sharing the images.

Facebook confirmed it had removed at least one page that published photographs of the schoolgirl because the images violated its terms of service.

A spokesman said Facebook "takes safety incredibly seriously, and have worked hard for years to develop clear rules and powerful reporting tools that enable people to easily report things that make them uncomfortable".

A spokesperson for Twitter said it did not tolerate "child sexual exploitation".

"When we are made aware of links to images of or content promoting child sexual exploitation they will be removed from the site without further notice and reported to The National Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

"We permanently suspend accounts promoting or containing updates with links to child sexual exploitation."
