Nigerian Police Declare Leader Of Biafran Zionist Movement Wanted

The Enugu State Police  Command has declared the  leader of the leader of Biafran Zionists Movement(BZM) Mr Onwuka Benjamin Igwe,  wanted for treasonable felony.
It would be recalled that the BZM, led by Onwuka Igwe had attacked Enugu State Government House on the 8th of this month and attempted to hoist flags of the defunct Republic of Biafra.

Although the police initially claimed that members of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra(MASSOB) carried out the attack, the BZM leader swiftly dismissed the allegation and claimed responsibility.

Apart from claiming responsibility, Onwuka warned that there would be bloodbath if  Nigeria failed to vacate the territory of the defunct Republic of Biafra by March 31, 2014.

Onwuka said they captured the Enugu Government House for four hours – between 3am and 7am – without carrying arms.

Onwuka further warned that there would be bloody attacks if the federal government failed to free the Republic of Biafra from its territories by March 31, 2014.

He disclosed that the invasion of Enugu Government House  was primarily to reclaim the old headquarters of the former Biafra Republic and dismissed speculation that they were sponsored by some politicians in Enugu State.

A statement made available to reporters in Enugu yesterday by police public relations officer in Enugu State, Ebere Amaraizu described Onwuka Bejamin Igwe as  one of the suspected “Actors in the unlawful act of 8/3/14 at Government House and since then has not been seen.

“He is 5ft 2 inches tall and not too dark in complexion and about 52 years and speaks English and Ibo languages fluently. He is also a native of Item in Bende local government area of Abia State.
